Copenhagen

After a week of catching up on school work, I really wanted to get out of Lund for a bit so Meaghan and I decided to go to Copenhagen for a day. We left pretty early in the morning and took the 40 minute train ride over to Copenhagen. Once we got there, we walked through Rosenborg Castle Gardens which is the oldest park in the city (created in the early 17th century as the king's private garden). Afterwards, we walked past Nyhavn to the Church of our Saviour where we climbed the steepest stairs. I was so winded by the time we got to the top but it was so worth it because the view was incredible! We definitely needed some food after this so we headed back towards central Copenhagen to the Tivoli Food Hall. I had the most amazing burrito bowl (I had been craving Mexican food). After reenergizing our bodies, we headed towards the shopping street and just shopped until all the stores began closing before taking the train back to Lund. Honestly, this day trip out of Lund was much needed and I'm so glad I was able to go to Copenhagen with Meaghan - I'm definitely getting to know her a lot more and she has become one of my best friends in Lund.
